The Effects of Hybridization on the Impact Properties of  Basalt/Nylon Intraply Woven Fabric Composites

Abstract
Low-velocity impact tests were performed to investigate the impact behaviour of hybrid composite laminates reinforced by basalt-nylon intraply fabrics. The purpose of using this hybrid composite is to combine the good mechanical property of basalt fiber as brittle fiber with the excellent impact resistance of nylon fiber as ductile fiber. Five different types of woven fabric with different content of nylon (0%, 25%, 33.3%, 50% and 100%) were used as reinforcement. For hybrid fabrics the percentage of nylon is equal in the warp and weft direction. The quasi-isotropic stacking sequence was selected for this study. The height of 2.4 m was chosen, corresponding to nominal impact energy of 30 J. The c-scan techniques were employed to assess the internal damage of composite laminates. The results show that impact performance of these composites was affected sufficiently of the basalt/nylon fibers content. The visual inspection and ultrasonic c-scan of the impact damaged specimens revealed that content of basalt/nylon fiber could restraint the type and size of damages.

ﻣﻘﺪﻣﻪ
ﻛﺮم اﺑﺮﻳﺸﻢ ﺑﻪ ﻣﻨﻈﻮر ﺣﻔﺎﻇﺖ از ﺧﻮد در ﺑﺮاﺑﺮ ﮔﺮﻣﺎ و ﺳﺮﻣﺎ و ﻧﻴﺰ ﻋﻮاﻣﻞ ﺗﻬﺪﻳﺪﻛﻨﻨﺪهی ﺧﺎرﺟﻲ ﻣﺤﻔﻈﻪای ﺑﻪ دور ﺧﻮد ﻣﻲﺗﻨﺪ 1 ﻛﻪ ﻣﺘﺸﻜﻞ از ﻟﻴﻒ اﺑﺮﻳﺸﻢ و ﻣﺎدهی ﺻﻤﻎ ﻣﺎﻧﻨﺪی اﺳﺖ ﻛﻪ ﭘﻴﻠﻪﻧﺎﻣﻴﺪه ﻣﻲ ﺷﻮد[1].ﭘﻴﻠﻪ از ﺷﻔﻴﺮهی ﭘﺮواﻧﻪ در ﺑﺮاﺑﺮ ﺗﻨﺰل ﻣﻴﻜﺮوﺑﻲ و ﺧﺸﻚﺷﺪن در ﻃﻮل دﮔﺮدﻳﺴﻲ و ﻫﻤﭽﻨﻴﻦ در ﺑﺮاﺑﺮ ﻏﺎرﺗﮕﺮﻫﺎی ﺑﺎﻟﻘﻮه، ﻣﺤﺎﻓﻈﺖ ﻣﻲﻛﻨﺪ[2] اﻳﻦ ﻣﺤﻔﻈﻪ ﻧﻮرﻫﺎی ﻣﻔﻴﺪ را ﺑﺮای ﻛﺮم اﺑﺮﻳﺸﻢ ﻋﺒﻮر ﻣﻲدﻫﺪ و اﻣﻮاج ﺧﻄﺮﻧﺎک را ﻓﻴﻠﺘﺮ ﻣﻲﻛﻨﺪ در واﻗﻊ ﻧﻮر ﺑﺎ رﻧﺞﻫﺎی ﻃﻮل ﻣﻮج ﺧﺎص را دﻓﻊ ﻛﺮده و اﻣﻮاج ﺑﺎ رﻧﺞﻫﺎی ﻃﻮﻟﻲ ﻣﺘﻔﺎوت دﻳﮕﺮ را ﺟﺬب ﻣﻲﻛﻨﺪ[3].ﻛﺮم اﺑﺮﻳﺸﻢ ﺑﻌﺪ از ﭼﻬﺎرﻣﻴﻦ ﭘﻮﺳﺖ اﻧﺪازی ﺷﺮوع ﺑﻪ ﺳﺎﺧﺘﻦ ﭘﻴﻠﻪی ﺧﻮد ﻣﻲﻛﻨﺪ و ﺑﺎ ﺣﺮﻛﺎت ﺳﺮ ﺧﻮد ﺑﻪ ﺷﻜﻞ ﻫﺎی s و v و 8 ﭘﻴﻠﻪ را ﺑﻪ دور ﺧﻮد ﻣﻲﺗﻨﺪ[4]. ﻓﻴﺒﺮوﺋﻴﻦ ﺟﺰء اﺻﻠﻲ ﻟﻴﻒ اﺑﺮﻳﺸﻢ اﺳﺖ و ﺳﺮﻳﺴﻴﻦ ﻧﻴﺰ ﺑﻪ ﺻﻮرت ﺻﻤﻎ ﻋﺎﻣﻞ اﺗﺼﺎل اﻟﻴﺎف و ﻻﻳﻪﻫﺎی اﺑﺮﻳﺸﻢ ﻣﻮﺟﻮد درﭘﻴﻠﻪ ﻣﻲﺷﻮد[2]. از اﻳﻦ ﻣﻨﻈﺮ ﻣﻲﺗﻮان ﮔﻔﺖ ﻛﻪ ﭘﻴﻠﻪی ﻛﺮم اﺑﺮﻳﺸﻢ ﻳﻚ ﻻﻳﻪ ﺑﻲﺑﺎﻓﺖ ﻃﺒﻴﻌﻲ اﺳﺖ و ﻟﺬا ﺑﺮرﺳﻲ ﺧﻮاص و وﻳﮋﮔﻲﻫﺎی آن ﺑﻪ ﻋﻨﻮان ﻻﻳﻪ ﺑﻲﺑﺎﻓﺘﻲ ﻛﻪ ﺑﺸﺮ در ﺳﺎﺧﺖ آن ﻫﻴﭻ ﻧﻘﺸﻲ ﻧﺪاﺷﺘﻪ اﺳﺖ، ﺣﺎﺋﺰ اﻫﻤﻴﺖ اﺳﺖ. در اﻳﻦ ﭘﺮوژه ﻧﻴﺰ اﻳﻦ ﻫﺪف اﺻﻠﻲ دﻧﺒﺎل ﻣﻲ- ﺷﻮد. از آﻧﺠﺎﻳﻲ ﻛﻪ ﭘﻴﻠﻪ ﻳﻚ ﻻﻳﻪی ﺑﻲ ﺑﺎﻓﺖ ﻃﺒﻴﻌﻲ اﺳﺖ، اﺣﺘﻤﺎل اﻳﻨﻜﻪ دارای ﺧﻮاص و وﻳﮋﮔﻲﻫﺎﻳﻲ ﺑﺎﺷﺪ ﻛﻪ ﺗﺎﻛﻨﻮن در ﺳﺎﺧﺖ ﻻﻳﻪﻫﺎی ﺑﻲﺑﺎﻓﺖ ﺑﺸﺮﺳﺎﺧﺖ ﻛﻤﺘﺮ ﺑﻪ آن ﺗﻮﺟﻪ ﺷﺪه اﺳﺖ، وﺟﻮد دارد. اﻳﻦ اﻣﺮ ﻣﺎ را ﺑﺮ آن داﺷﺖ ﺗﺎ ﺗﻮﺟﻪ ﺧﻮد را ﺑﻪ ﺑﺮرﺳﻲ اﻳﻦ ﻧﻮع ﺧﺎص از ﻻﻳﻪﻫﺎی ﺑﻲﺑﺎﻓﺖ ﻣﻌﻄﻮف ﻧﻤﻮده ﺗﺎ ﺑﺮای ﺳﺎﺧﺖ ﻻﻳﻪﻫﺎﻳﻲ ﻛﻪ ﻧﻴﺎزﻣﻨﺪ اﻳﻦ وﻳﮋﮔﻲﻫﺎ ﻫﺴﺘﻨﺪ از اﻳﻦ ﻧﻤﻮﻧﻪی ﻃﺒﻴﻌﻲ ﻛﻪ ﺧﺎﻟﻖ ﺣﻜﻴﻢ اﻳﻦ ﻋﺎﻟﻢ ﺑﺮای ﻣﺎ در ﻃﺒﻴﻌﺖ ﺑﻪ ودﻳﻌﻪ ﻧﻬﺎده اﺳﺖ اﻟﻬﺎم ﮔﻴﺮﻳﻢ

ﭼﻜﻴﺪه
ﺳﺎﻳﺶ ﻣﻜﺎﻧﻴﻜﻲ در ﻇﺎﻫﺮ ﻣﻨﺴﻮﺟﺎت ﺗﻐﻴﻴﺮاﺗﻲ اﻳ ﺠﺎد ﻣﻲﻧﻤﺎﻳﺪﻛﻪ از ﻃﺮﻳﻖ ﺗﺼﻮﻳﺮی ﻗﺎﺑﻞ ارزﻳﺎﺑﻲ ﻫﺴﺘ . ﻨﺪ در اﻳﻦ ﺗﺤﻘﻴﻖ ،ﺳﻪ ﻧﻮع ﻧﻤﻮﻧﻪ ﺑﻲﺑﺎﻓﺖ ﺳﻮزنزﻧﻲ ﺷﺪه (ﻛﻔﭙﻮش راهﻛﺒﺮﻳﺘﻲ) ﺑﺎ درﺻﺪﻫﺎی ﻣﺨﺘﻠﻒ اﻟﻴﺎف ﺗﺤﺖ ﺳﺎﻳﺶ ﻗﺮار ﮔﺮﻓﺘ .ﻨﺪﻧﻤﻮﻧﻪﻫﺎ از دو ﻧﻈﺮ ﺗﻐﻴﻴﺮات وزﻧﻲ و ﺗﻐﻴﻴﺮات ﺑﺎﻓﺘﺎری (Texture ) ﺑﻪ ﻛﻤﻚ ﭘﺮدازش ﺗﺼﻮﻳﺮ ﻣﻮرد ﺑﺮرﺳﻲ ﻗﺮار ﮔﺮﻓﺘﻨﺪ .ﻧﺘﺎﻳﺞ ﺣﺎﺻﻞ از ارزﻳﺎﺑﻲ ﺳﺎﻳﺶ ﻛﻔﭙﻮشﻫﺎ ﺑﻪﻛﻤﻚ ﭘﺮدازش ﺗﺼﻮﻳﺮ و روش ﺗﻐﻴﻴﺮ وزن ﻫﻤﺒﺴﺘﮕﻲ ﻗﺎﺑﻞ ﻗﺒﻮﻟﻲ را ﻧﺸﺎن  ﻣﻲدﻫﻨﺪ .

ﭼﻜﻴﺪه
ﭘﺎرﭼﻪﻫﺎی ﺳﻪ ﺑﻌﺪی دو ﺟﺪاره ، ﺗﺮﻛﻴﺒﻲ از دوﻻﻳﻪ ﭘﺎرﭼﻪ ﺣﻠﻘﻮی ﺑﺎﻓﺖ ﻣﺠﺰا ﻫﺴﺘﻨﺪ ﻛﻪ ﺗﻮﺳﻂ ﻻﻳﻪای از ﻣﻮﻧﻮﻓﻴﻼﻣﻨﺖﻫﺎ ﺑﻪ ﻳﻜﺪﻳﮕﺮ ﻣﺘﺼﻞ ﺷﺪهاﻧﺪ ﺟو. ﻮد ﻻﻳﻪ ﻣﻴﺎﻧﻲ در اﻳﻦ ﭘﺎرﭼﻪﻫﺎ ﺑﺎﻋﺚ اﻳﺠﺎد ﺧﺼﻮﺻﻴﺎت ﻣﻨﺤﺼﺮ ﺑﻪ ﻓﺮدی در آنﻫﺎ ﺷﺪه اﺳﺖ. در اﻛﺜﺮ ﻣﻮارد اﻳﻦ ﻧﻮع ﭘﺎرﭼﻪﻫﺎ ﺑﻪ ﻋﻨﻮان ﺿﺮﺑﻪﮔﻴﺮ ﻳﺎ ﺑﻪ ﻋﻨﻮان ﺗﻮزﻳﻊ ﻛﻨﻨﺪه ﻳﺎ ﻛﺎﻫﻨﺪه ﻓﺸﺎر در ﻣﻮارد ﻣﺨﺘﻠﻔﻲ ﻫﻤﭽﻮن ﺻﻨﺎﻳﻊ اﺗﻮﻣﺒﻴﻞ، ﻣﻨﺴﻮﺟﺎت ﭘﺰﺷﻜﻲ، ﻣﻨﺴﻮﺟﺎت ﻓﻨﻲ و ﻟﺒﺎسﻫﺎی ورزﺷﻲ ﻗﺎﺑﻞ اﺳﺘﻔﺎده ﻫﺴﺘﻨﺪ. در ﺑﺴﻴﺎری از اﻳﻦ ﻛﺎرﺑﺮدﻫﺎ اﻳﻦ ﻣﻨﺴﻮﺟﺎت در ﻣﻌﺮض ﻧﻴﺮوﻫﺎی ﻓﺸﺎری ﻋﺮﺿﻲ ﻗﺮار دارﻧﺪ و ﻋﻜﺲاﻟﻌﻤﻞ آنﻫﺎ در ﺑﺮاﺑﺮ اﻳﻦ ﻧﻴﺮوﻫﺎ ﺑﺴﻴﺎر ﻣﻬﻢ و ﺣﺎﺋﺰ اﻫﻤﻴﺖ اﺳﺖ . ﻧﺘﺎﻳﺞ ﺣﺎﺻﻞ از آزﻣﺎﻳﺸﺎت و ﺗﺤﻠﻴﻞﻫﺎی ﺻﻮرت ﮔﺮﻓﺘﻪ ﻧﺸﺎن ﻣﻲدﻫﺪ ، در ﺻﻮرﺗﻲ ﻛﻪ ﺗﺮاﻛﻢ ﺣﻠﻘﻪ در واﺣﺪ ﺳﻄﺢ ﭘﺎرﭼﻪ ﺳﻪ ﺑﻌﺪی دو ﺟﺪاره اﻓﺰاﻳﺶ ﻳﺎﺑﺪ، ﭘﺎرﭼﻪ ﻓﺸﺎر ﺑﻴﺶﺗﺮی را ﻣﻲﺗﻮاﻧﺪ ﺗﺤﻤﻞ ﻛﻨﺪ. در ﭘﺎرﭼﻪﻫﺎی ﺳﻪ ﺑﻌﺪی دو ﺟﺪاره ﭼﻨﺪی ﻻﻳﻪ ﺑﺎ اﻓﺰاﻳﺶ ﺗﺮاﻛﻢ ﻻﻳﻪ ﺑﺎﻻﻳﻲ و در ﺻﻮرت اﻋﻤﺎل ﻓﺸﺎر ، ﻻﻳﻪ ﻓﻮﻗﺎﻧﻲ ﻣﺎﻧﻨﺪ ﻳﻚ ﺻﻔﺤﻪ ﺻﻠﺐ ﻋﻤﻞ ﻛﺮده و ﻓﺸﺎر را ﺑﻪ ﺗﺪرﻳﺞ ﺑﻪ ﻻﻳﻪﻫﺎی ﺗﺤﺘﺎﻧﻲ ﻣﻨﺘﻘﻞ ﻣﻲ .ﻛﻨﺪ ﺑﻪ ﻋﺒﺎرت دﻳﮕﺮ ﻻﻳﻪ ﺑﺎﻻﻳﻲ ﻛﻤﺘﺮﻳﻦ ﻓﺸﺎر و ﻻﻳﻪ ﭘﺎﻳﻴﻨﻲ ﺑﻴﺶﺗﺮﻳﻦ ﻓﺸﺎر را ﺗﺤﻤﻞ ﻣﻲﻛﻨﺪ. ﻫﻤﭽﻨﻴﻦ ﺑﺎ ﻣﻘﺎﻳﺴﻪ رﻓﺘﺎر ﻓﺸﺎری اﻳﻦ ﻧﻤﻮﻧﻪﻫﺎ ﺑﺎ ﻣﺪل ونوﻳﻚ ﻣﺸﺨﺺ ﮔﺮدﻳﺪ ﻛﻪ ﭘﺎرﭼﻪﻫﺎی ﺳﻪ ﺑﻌﺪی دو ﺟﺪاره ﺑﺨﻮﺑﻲ از اﻳﻦ ﻣﺪل ﭘﻴﺮوی ﻛﺮده و ﻧﺘﺎﻳﺞ از ﻣﻴﺰان ﺗﻄﺎﺑﻖ ﺧﻮﺑﻲ ﺑﺮﺧﻮردار ﻣﻲﺑﺎﺷﻨﺪ .

Measurement of sound absorption coefficient of nonwoven fabrics

Abstract Nonwoven fabrics comprise a very significant proportion of total world textile output. This is due to their varied properties that have enabled these types of textiles to be used in wide range of applications. In application such as floor and wall covering or as automobile carpets; nonwoven fabrics not only must serve as carpets, but also must function as sound insulation materials. In this work the effect of fiber variables together with the influence of fabric production parameters on sound absorption properties of polypropylene needled floor covering having different surface effects have been investigated. An instrument to measure noise absorption coefficient (NAC) of the experimental samples has been designed and built. A commercial melt spinning line was used to manufacture staple polypropylene fibers of different fineness. A two swift carding machine together with a horizontal cross-lapper was employed to obtain the required batts of fibers.

ﭼﻜﻴﺪه
در اﻳﻦ ﺗﺤﻘﻴﻖ ﺑﺎ ﻣﻌﺮﻓﻲ و ﺑﺮرﺳﻲ اﻧﻮاع ﻣﺨﺘﻠﻒ ﺳﺎزهﻫﺎی ﭘﺎرﭼﻪای، اﺳﺘﻔﺎده از اﻳﻦ روش ﺑﺮای ﺳﺎﺧﺘﻤﺎﻧﻲ ﻧﻤﻮدن ﭘﺴﺖﻫﺎی ﻓﻮق ﺗﻮزﻳﻊ ﻣﻮرد ﻣﻄﺎﻟﻌﻪ ﻗﺮار ﮔﺮﻓﺘﻪ اﺳﺖ. ﺑﺎ اﻳﻦ ﺷﻴﻮه ﻣﻲﺗﻮان ﻣﺰاﻳﺎی اﺣﺪاث ﭘﺴﺖﻫﺎی ﻓﻮق ﺗﻮزﻳﻊ ﺑﻪ ﺻﻮرت ﺳﺎﺧﺘﻤﺎﻧﻲ را ﺑﺎ اﺣﺪاث در ﻓﻀﺎی آزاد اﺟﺘﻤﺎع ﻧﻤﻮده، ﻫﺰﻳﻨﻪ را ﻛﺎﻫﺶ داده و ﺑﻪ وﺿﻌﻴﺖ ﻣﻄﻠﻮب دﺳﺖ ﻳﺎﻓﺖ. در ﻣﻄﺎﻟﻌﺎت ﻓﻨﻲ و اﻗﺘﺼﺎدی ﺻﻮرت ﮔﺮﻓﺘﻪ ﺗﻼش ﺷﺪه اﺳﺖ ﺟﻮاﻧﺐ ﻣﺨﺘﻠﻒ ﻣﺴﺄﻟﻪ ﺑﻪ ﺻﻮرت واﻗﻌﻲ ﺑﺮرﺳﻲ ﺷﻮد .

ﻧﮕﺮﺷﻲ ﻧﻮﻳﻦ ﺑﺮ ﺳﺎزهﻫﺎی ﭘﺎرﭼﻪای ﺑﺎ ﺗﻜﻴﻪ ﺑﺮ ﺗﻠﻔﻴﻖ ﻋﻠﻮم ﻣﻬﻨﺪﺳﻲ

در اﻳﻦ ﻣﻘﺎﻟﻪ ﺑﻪ ﻣﻄﺎﻟﻌﻪ و ﺑﺮرﺳﻲ ﺳﺎزهﻫﺎی ﭘﺎرﭼ ﻪای (ﭘﻮﺳﺘﻪای) ﭘﺮداﺧﺘﻪ ﻣﻲ .ﺷﻮد ﻗﺪﻣﺖ اﺳﺘﻔﺎده از ﺳﺎزهﻫﺎی ﭘﺎرﭼﻪای ﺑﻪ ﻫﺰاران ﺳﺎل ﭘﻴﺶ ﺑﺎز ﻣﻲﮔﺮدد و اﺳﺘﻔﺎده از آﻧﻬﺎ ﺑﻪ ﻋﻨﻮان ﭘﻮﺳﺘﻪﻫﺎی ﺳﺎﺧﺘﻤﺎﻧﻲ ﺑﻪ ﻣﻨﻈﻮر ﺑﻨﺎﻫﺎی ﻣﻮﻗﺘﻲ و داﺋﻢ ﺑﻪ ﺷﺪت رو ﺑﻪ ﮔﺴﺘﺮش اﺳﺖ. اﻳﻦ ﺳﺎزهﻫﺎ در اﺷﻜﺎل و اﺑﻌﺎد ﻣﺨﺘﻠﻒ ﻗﺎﺑﻞ ﻃﺮاﺣﻲ ﻫﺴﺘﻨﺪ و ﻗﺎﺑﻠﻴﺖ ﭘﻮﺷﺎﻧﺪن ﺳﻄﻮح ﺑﺰرگ را دارﻧﺪ ﻛﻪ اﻳﻦ ﻣﺸﺨﺼﻪ ﻳﻜﻲ از ﻣﻬﻢﺗﺮﻳﻦ ﻣﺰاﻳﺎی ﺳﺎزهﻫﺎی ﭘﺎرﭼﻪای ﻣﺤﺴﻮب ﻣﻲﺷﻮد و ﺳﺒﺐ اﺳﺘﻔﺎده روز اﻓﺰون از اﻳﻦ ﺳﺎزهﻫﺎ ﺷﺪه اﺳﺖ .ﺷﻨﺎﺧﺖ دﻗﻴﻖ اﻳﻦ ﺳﺎزهﻫﺎ ﺑﻪ ﻋﻨﻮان ﻳﻚ ﺳﺎزه ﻋﻤﺮاﻧﻲ ﻧﻴﺎزﻣﻨﺪ داﺷﺘﻦ درک ﻋﻤﻴﻘﻲ از رﻓﺘﺎر ﻣﻨﺴﻮﺟﺎت ﻣﻲﺑﺎﺷﺪ. در واﻗﻊ، ﻋﻤﻠﻜﺮد ﻣﻄﻠﻮب اﻳﻦ ﺳﺎزهﻫﺎ در ﮔﺮو ﺗﻠﻔﻴﻖ ﺻﺤﻴﺢ ﻋﻠﻮم ﻣﻬﻨﺪﺳﻲ ﻧﺴﺎﺟﻲ، ﻋﻤﺮان و ﻣﻌﻤﺎری ﻣﻲﺑﺎﺷﺪ. در اﻳﻦ ﻣﻘﺎﻟﻪ ﺳﻌﻲ ﻣﻲﺷﻮد ﺑﻪ اﻳﻦ ﺳﺎزهﻫﺎ ﺑﻪ ﻋﻨﻮان ﻳﻚ ﺳﺎزه ﻧﺴﺎﺟﻲ و ﻧﻴﺰ ﻳﻚ ﺳﺎزه ﻋﻤﺮاﻧﻲ ﺑﻄﻮر ﻫﻤﺰﻣﺎن ﻧﮕﺮﻳﺴﺘﻪ ﺷﻮد .

On the Capillary Wicking Behavior of Spunlace Nonwoven

Abstract Nowadays the use of spunlace nonwoven as absorbent products is increasing. Considering the wide usage of these fabrics in different fields such as wipers, hygienic products, wet handkerchiefs, baby diapers, the subject of wetting and capillary wicking in these products is greatly important. In this research the effect of spunlace nonwoven structure on wicking behavior of water has been studied. Twelve different nonwoven samples consisting of 70% viscous/ 30% PET fiber with different weights (35, 40, 45,50g/m2) and water jet pressures (60, 70, 80 bar) were produced. An electrical resistance technique has been developed to study the rate of horizontal wicking of water into nonwoven samples, based on Lucas-Washburn Equation. The study shows that in the nonwoven samples, the wicking distance and penetration rate decrease due to increasing of water jet pressure (WJP) and sample weight. It reveals that increasing sample weight and production WJP, change capillary spaces of samples. It has been possible to study equivalent geometric factor of capillary spaces during wicking measurement of water into nonwoven samples. The radius of open channels in the nonwoven sample tend to decreases as a result of increasing weight of samples and water jet pressure in production nonwoven sample.
