Treatment of Denim with Various Enzymes Ali Sadeghian Maryan1

Abstract

In current study, effects of laccases are considered in different methods of washing including laccases, laccases with acidcellulases and laccases with neutral cellulases. The color changes of different samples are compared by colorimetric

indices for garment surface and back and also white pocket. Abrasion resistance, tensile strength and crease recovery
angle of samples were measured within the standard methods. Furthermore, the surfaces of treated samples were observed by SEM. The results showed that co-application of laccases with cellulases help to improve the lightness and decreasestaining on both back of denim and white pocket.
